Sports Enhancement Programs
Success in any sport depends upon power, speed, strength, endurance, and core stability. PT Pros's Sports Enhancement Program (SEP) provides an avenue for area athletes to improve each of these aspects of a sport. The SEP offers a quality program for all individuals, male and female, young and old, and from the beginner to the advanced, who want to improve their athletic performance.
This program is dedicated to achieving goals set by individual athletes using the most effective techniques performed in a professional, compassionate, and supportive environment. Athletic trainers and physical therapists use sports-enhancing techniques such as flexibility enhancement, linear/lateral speed enhancement, multi-directional movement and agility enhancement, functional strength enhancement and core stability enhancement.
PT Pros offers an 8-week program and a 1-week camp.
8-Week Program.
PT Pros offers an 8-week sports enhancement program that is individualize for each athlete. This progressive program assesses athletic performance to identify weaknesses so that trainers and physical therapists can focus on helping athletes fine-tune their strengths.
Within the 8 weeks, athletes train 3 to 5 days weekly using techniques identified by their trainer. The athlete's individualized plan will include a warm-up, exercises and drills, and core-strengthening exercises. Each athlete will participate in a daily routine that is designed to become more rigorous and complex as the week progresses.
Each day, the athletic trainer will help the athlete hone skills by introducing changes during a drill, either increasing the drill's difficulty or by introducing a more complex move. This technique keeps athletes from reaching a plateau. This also keeps the daily routine challenging and fun!
1-Week Program.
PT Pros offers a 1-week camp that is a condensed version of the 8-week program.
During the week, interest is placed on teaching proper techniques, improving agility, and developing sports specific skills. The focus shifts more toward the group, rather than the individual athlete. This makes our 1-week camp ideal for team pre-season conditioning and summer camps.
