PT Pros hosted a fundraiser for US Senate Candidate, Lt. Gov. Daniel Mongiardo at their Corbin office, on August 26th. Lt. Gov. Mongiardo spoke to the crowd of over 30 people and discussed upcoming healthcare reform, legislative issues and his plans for becoming our next US Senator. The Kentucky Physical Therapy Association awarded Holly Johnson, PT, DPT the “Outstanding Physical Therapist of the Year” award. Holly is the current Vice-President of the KPTA and has served on many committees as well as worked closely on Worker’s Compensation Guidelines to set standards. Holly is active in her community of Harlan, Kentucky and is pictured here with her family during the award process. PT Pros is very proud to have Holly as one of our colleagues.
Annette Curry PTA, was recently awarded the “Outstanding PTA of the Year “ by the Kentucky Physical Therapy Association. She has been employed by PT Pros as a PTA and now as Director of PTAs for 20 years. She is the mentor to PTAs in our company and an excellent example of the valuable role of the PTA in delivery of comprehensive physical therapy out patient services.
Sharon Dunn, PT, PhD, a faculty member of the LSU Shreveport Physical Therapy School educated our PT Pros staff and KPTA at the annual fall meeting of the Kentucky Physical Therapy Association in Lexington. Dr. Dunn did an incredible job with her continuing education course on “Foot and Ankle Biomechanics” and our PT Pros staff gained great insight from her practical approach to evaluation and treatment of the foot and ankle joint. Thanks to Sharon for coming to Kentucky and sharing her knowledge and also her commitment to the profession.
Residency Partner course presented at Annual Conference of PPS
Holly Johnson, Connie Hauser and Sharon Dunn presented a course on the value of a Residency partnership between LSU and PT Pros at the Annual Conference of the Private Practice Section in Colorado Springs. There was good interaction and the three PT’s had much fun exchanging ideas, experiences, and sharing the value of the partnership.
PT Pros attended the annual scholarship luncheon at Union College in Barbourville to recognize the Scott Butler Scholarship Fund. Scott Butler was a former patient of PT Pros and in his memory a scholarship has been created for a student at Union College. PT Pros is an original donor to the fund and actively supports the ongoing efforts for the scholarship.
